The Santa Spectacular

It’s six weeks before Christmas, and theater company manager Armitage Hux is the proud owner of a stale holiday revue, dwindling box office receipts, and a suddenly Santa-less show. He’s pulled himself out of scrapes before, but hiring a last-minute replacement may prove to be one of the craziest best decisions he’s ever made.

Applicant forty-three was huge. And gorgeous. And absolutely wrong for the part.

The person who stood before them wore a devilish smile, shoulder-length hair, and a stubbled jaw. A threadbare tee clung to his massive biceps, while a pair of skin-tight jeans showed off a delectable ass that begged to be squeezed.

“This guy looks more Back in Black than Santa Baby,” Hux declared, horrified as his voice dissolved into an embarrassing squeak.

“I’d be his baby any day,” Mitaka breathed.

I had such a fun time writing this AU, and did my best to include your likes (fluff, angst, and Millicent!) while keeping the story from veering into explicit territory (fair warning in advance, though, for the lame puns and bawdy humor). So here it is—a holiday fic with a somewhat Grinch-y Hux, and a sexy Kylo who brings back his seasonal spirit. I hope the boys and this story bring you some holiday cheer! ❤

With the prospect of a failed harvest on the horizon, the kingdom of Gwynedd take steps to appease the local spirits.

As was clearly his lot, Kylo’s day went from over the moon to piece of utter horseshit in a matter of progressively depressing hours. His ginger hadn’t shown up to the library – an anomaly in itself – on the very day Kylo had finally worked up the nerve to talk to him; his subsequent wild run in the woods had yielded little relief for his dismal mood, and on top of that he’d somehow gotten tricked into a trap of a trap through sheer disbelief of a hunter’s stupidity. 

And now. Now he was locked in a cage in some shady room, stuck in his wolf form, wounded and cramped and not at all pleased. But worse still, it appeared as though Kylo was not the only restless animal trapped there, anxious of an uncertain fate no doubt waiting for them all.

A Handbook for Practical Daemon Keeping: Kylo find a silly fake spell book buried deep within the shelves on his favourite bookstore and for a laugh, he decides to perform one of the rituals.The book couldn’t possibly be real, could it?

How to Care for Your Human: Kylo comes down with a terrible cold and Armitage shows himself to be a surprisingly good healer.

The Wild Hunt: Kylo and Armitage are in Edinburgh for a short holiday when they encounter someone deadly from Armitage’s past.

My Heart, Body, and History: Kylo’s birthday is approaching and Armitage is looking to find the perfect gift. A shopping trip with Rey leads to some family bonding time, a lesson in ancient Roman medicine, and a job offer.

All That Glitters: Armitage comes home to find Kylo waiting with a surprise for him, or, Armitage discovers the joys of Lush bath bombs.

Burning Bright: Written as a prompt fill for Huxloween 2017. Armitage and Kylo receive an invitation to Rey and Finn’s Halloween party. Armitage insists on dressing up as “himself”, whatever that means.

Six months after the death of Supreme Leader Snoke, Hux feels like he’s all that’s holding the First Order together, but he’s barely managing to keep himself together. He’s stressed out and exhausted, unable to step away from his work long enough to truly relax.

Kylo Ren is intimately acquainted with the feeling of being overwhelmed by one’s responsibilities. Looking at Hux, he remembers a long-ago encounter that helped him escape that feeling once, for a little while.

He’s certain he could do the same thing for Hux, if only Hux would let him.
