Kylux UA: The Scavenger and the Prince

Being first to the smoking wreckage of a foreign ship should have earned Hux enough food to last him a week. And yet what he finds is a crying little girl and a dying man, surrounded on all sides by dead stormtroopers in what looks like the aftermath of a vicious battle. Logic tells him to focus on the scavenge, but the young girl’s terrified and desperate cries are impossible to ignore. Before he knows it, he is offering them his home and his help.

Now, Hux has to deal with his new problem. He can already barely feed himself, so how is he supposed to afford the medicine and food needed to keep all of them alive? How long will it take before more soldiers follow, intent on recapturing this pair of young cousins, whoever they might be? He tells himself he’ll regret this, and yet when he sees little Rey’s delighted smiles, and curls up to sleep against human warmth for the first time in fifteen years, he somehow finds himself thinking this might just be the right decision after all. Consequences be damned.

Kylux Fae AU

The woods at the back of Ben’s home goes dark and deep, and when he sets off into it after yet another argument with his father, he finds something, or rather, someone entirely unexpected bleeding in a hunter’s trap. He takes the stranger home and tends to his wounds. By the next morning, the man is gone.

Yet there are trinkets left on his doorstep, flowers where there were none before, and the faint scent of pine and sweet honey in the air. When the man reappears, he speaks of debts to be paid and thanks to be given, and offers to show Ben a world he has never seen.

When Ben’s parents return to their home two months later, they find their son has disappeared, never to be found again.
