I’ve seen a number of “well these new people weren’t around when,” and “they don’t know about,” and “they haven’t read this or that fic,” style posts, and I have to say that pretty consistently that kind of holier than thou stuff has always annoyed me. If you’re a new fan, you don’t need to know anything other than that you like Kylux (or are curious about it!) to be a part of this fandom. Don’t let folks intimidate or make you feel shunned. You can come be friends with me and all the lovely people I can direct you to who will just be happy to have you and your awesome energy! If you have questions, holler.
(O w O) hello all kylux fam! with the new Star Wars movie out i’ve been getting lots of messages from new/shy/unsure people who want to join the fandom but are either intimidated by the large amount of content that exists ~ or are stupefied by the (admittedly, sometimes weird) deeply ingrained amount of fanon!!! and i know some of you long-time fans out there have made amazing compilations that have TONS of content listed! as well as rec lists and what not! (-^ v ^-) so if any of you see this and have time, please feel free to add some suggested links or reading that you think would benefit newcomers! or! if you wanna meet new kylux fam, maybe mention it in the chat of this post and maybe new people can link up!? ❤
kylux was my first fandom family and so many of you have stuck with me and continued to be treasured friends and confidants, so i am always happy to welcome new people to the fandom because i know they will find a ton of kind and talented people to share their space with! thanks for everything! have a wonderful day you crazy space fam! ❤
