Something that I found weird when I first joined this fandom (and this isn’t shade, I love you guys) was how heavily it relies on canon.

Like I joined at the very end of December. Pretty much the second I walked out of the cinema and the first thing I saw when I entered the tag was people acting relieved that they could still keep writing Kylux because Hux wasn’t dead. As if Hux’s death would have somehow altered the fandom ability to continue. That was very bizarre to me and it seems to be a recurring theme.

And I don’t think this is something that needs to be said to the majority but just, if you’re feeling shitty and like suddenly your fics or headcanons where Hux is a fuckin huge cockslut are now invalid or if you feel like you now have to write Hux as a virgin – fuck that! They’re not and you don’t. You totally don’t and it honestly doesn’t fuckin matter in the slightest. Don’t feel bad my bitches.

Just remember canon is a nice little starting point when it comes to first entering a fandom but it’s never going to be anywhere near is good or relatable or entertaining as something the kylux fandom can produce. You’re brillint, sw doesn’t matter, hux can ride dick if you want him to ride dick and if that doesn’t bother you, well virgin hux is sure to inspire a new boom of content so everything is fucking peachy
